Getting to Silverpine is straightforward, just remember to stay on the left side of the road. Our photos are true to life – we are the only building here. You may recognize the area just by the views.

AIRPORTS:

• Wanaka Airport: 25 minute drive.
• Queenstown International and National Airport: 1 hour 15 minute drive over the Crown Range.
• Christchurch International and National Airport: 5 hours and 30 minute drive.

CAR RENTALS:
Queenstown and Christchurch Airports have all major car rental companies. Cars can be rented from local companies at Wanaka. Please contact us for details.

PRIVATE JETS

Please contact us with information on the aircraft type, model and registration numbers. Some private jets can be landed at Wanaka and all at Queenstown.

DRIVING DETAILS:

Fortunately we live in a very scenic area, so should you pass our gate, then no problem – you will enjoy the views backtracking. In any case, we can email you more specific directions before you set out for Silverpine.
 

From Franz Josef Glacier --Drive 3.5 hours south on State Highway 6

From Makarora township-- Drive 35 minute south on SH- 6

Coming from the north (Franz Josef / Haast / Makarora) after passing across The Neck you will see the lodge perched high on the right. There is a road on the left, called Meads Road, but stay on the highway for another couple of hundred meters; Our gate is on the right, (Lake Hawea will be on your left).

From Wanaka-- The lodge is 30 minutes north on State Highway 6.  At the Hawea Dam, set your vehicle trip counter to zero (Do not drive over the dam to the township, stay on State Highway 6). When it reads 20.6km you will be at the gate. The lodge is up the drive on a bluff on your left.  If you find you have driven through The Neck, (Lake Wanaka will be directly in front of you) -you have gone too far by around two kilometers – turn around at the first safe point.
